I could be sorting my CDs right now

On Monday, Altoona Curve (AA Eastern League) first baseman Brad Eldred homered in his sixth straight game, blasting two out of the park against the Reading Phillies. In 21 games for Altoona this season, Eldred has batted .333 with 13 home runs and 27 RBI. Following Monday night's game, the Pirates promoted Eldred (6"5", 268 lbs.) to their Triple-A affiliate, the Indianapolis Indians.

Eldred drove in 138 runs last season, the highest total of all of Minor League Baseball in 2004, while splitting time between Single-A Lynchburg and Altoona. In his 60-game Eastern League career, Eldred has totalled 30 home runs and 87 RBI.
