The NHL Encourages Everyone To Drink Responsibly

This reminds me of that old saying: You idiot

Is it just me, or does this logo for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft look like it could be the label from a bottle of beer?

(Logo swiped from this post on Vancouver Canucks Op-Ed. I know, I know-- it's a logo that I could've found laying around just about anywhere, but I like to give credit where credit is due.)

It's funny you mentioned this. We were just saying last night that it looked an awful lot like a local microbrewery label.

Sneaky marketing tactic, but it works. Now I must buy beer...:-)

I could be wrong, but wasn't Bud Ice the "official beer of the NHL" once? Maybe "Coors NHL Draft" isn't so far-fetched...

Yup, that could work! However, Bud Light still is the official beer of the NHL, I think.

But I'm looking at that logo and I keep thinking about a Vancouver microbrewery Granville Island Brewery. Subliminal? Or maybe just wishful thinking on my part... ;-)

Yeah, with the mountains in the back, and the diamond-proportioned shape, I definitely see a similarity.
